Fighting for Queenslanders
We're fighting for Queenslanders to have access to stable, affordable housing

GET INVOLVED TODAY!

We’re fighting for Queenslanders to have affordable, stable, and fit for purpose homes, whether that home is rented or owned.

This means rights to ensure renters treated fairly and have the assurance of housing that is stable and safe.

We need initiatives that make it possible for Queenslanders to buy a home. This means finding the right rules and regulations to promote fit for purpose builds and enough supply to keep up with migration and growing populations.

We need social housing to ensure every person has equal opportunity to raise a family in a secure home, and incentives which promote housing in the regions, especially to teachers and nurses where they’re needed.

Affordable housing is a crucial piece in the puzzle on which so many other things rest. Without housing, workers cannot live, families cannot grow, and communities cannot thrive.

We're fighting for renters to be treated fairly and have the assurance of housing that is stable and safe.

Queensland Unions acknowledges the traditional owners of the lands on which we live and work – in Meanjin (Brisbane) the lands of the Turrbal and Jagera Peoples – and pays respects to elders past and present.
